The Mike Moran Scholar Award is presented annually to a pediatric resident, fellow training in, or recent graduate of, the field of pediatric urgent care (MD/DO, NP, PA) with the goal of enhancing clinical research in the specialty.
Mike Moran MD was a founding member of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care. Throughout his career, he was dedicated to continued improvement of pediatric health care. Dr. Moran was a phenomenal educator who took every opportunity to guide colleagues and trainees in patient care. He embraced evidence-based practice and often catalyzed new innovations for improving quality and efficiency of patient care in the pediatric acute care setting.

Mary O’Connor, MD is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine practicing at Seattle Children’s Urgent care and as a locums at NeighborCare clinics. Following undergrad at the University of Notre Dame, she completed Medical School and Med-Peds residency at Indiana University. In addition to focusing on quality improvement and safety initiatives in the urgent care, she has focused time and energy on global health projects in Haiti and Central America.
