Hosted by Children’s Specialty Group and Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, the conference will be held at Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel from April 3-6, 2024. The Precourse Leadership Summit is offered on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 3. The Leadership Summit will provide both podium presentations and panel discussions with focus on several topics including safety management, administrative keys to success, and how to handle difficult situations in the urgent care. The core program will begin on Thursday, April 4.
The core program opening session on Thursday, April 4, includes Dr. Deena Berkowitz from Children’s National Hospital, who will provide national updates on pediatric urgent care medicine as an emerging specialty. The conference will offer two full days of CME opportunities comprised of podium presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Attendees will also have the chance for walk-around viewing of colleagues’ posters and a Welcome Reception with Exhibits on Thursday, April 4. This year’s conference will cover several valuable topics such as endocrine emergencies, concussion updates, nonaccidental trauma, and infectious disease updates relevant in pediatric urgent care. Hands-on workshops offered this year include splinting, the GU exam, and procedures head to toe.
We are very excited to offer this educational opportunity and cannot wait to see everyone at the conference in celebration of SPUC’s 10th Anniversary.
Sincerely,
