Yes NoMike Moran Scholar Award
The Mike Moran Scholar Award is presented annually to a pediatric resident, fellow training in, or recent graduate of, the field of pediatric urgent care (MD/DO, NP, PA) with the goal of enhancing clinical research in the specialty.
Mike Moran MD was a founding member of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care. Throughout his career, he was dedicated to continued improvement of pediatric health care. Dr. Moran was a phenomenal educator who took every opportunity to guide colleagues and trainees in patient care. He embraced evidence-based practice and often catalyzed new innovations for improving quality and efficiency of patient care in the pediatric acute care setting.
Co-recipients of the 2023 Mike Moran Scholar Award are Nehal P. Bhandari MD and Rachel Krieger DO. Drs Bhandari and Krieger will close the Podium Poster session on Thursday, September 28 at 2:30 pm ET with their presentation, '5-Month-Old with Crying and Poor Feeding'.
The award includes a plaque of recognition, a feature on SPUC's website, complimentary conference registration, and a $500 stipend.
