SPUC’s 2022 Annual Conference program is complete and registration is open! The conference will be held at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio from September 15-17, 2022, with a precourse Leadership Summit offered on September 14. The Leadership Summit will provide both podium presentations and panel discussions with focus on several topics including creating a team culture, provider reviews, management pearls/pitfalls and the hiring process in our post-pandemic era. The core program will begin on September 15. Nationwide Children’s Hospital will host the program and provide tours of one of their urgent care sites.
The core conference will begin with Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s own Dr. Alex Kemper who will speak on recently published articles pertinent to Pediatric Urgent Care. The conference will offer two full days of CME opportunities comprised of podium presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Attendees will also have the chance for walk-around viewing of colleagues’ posters and a Welcome Reception with Exhibits on September 15. This year’s conference will cover several valuable topics such as burn management, evaluation of the limping child, and dermatology pearls in the UC. Hands-on workshops offered this year include What the UC Clinician Needs to Know about EKGs, Procedural TOE-Pourri (toenail injuries), and Quality Improvement Bootcamp Basics.
Top poster presentations will be presented as podium sessions. Top posters winners and the Mike Moran Scholar Award will be presented on September 16. Program, registration and lodging information are available on our website and here in the mobile meeting guide.
