I have been a member of the Cook ED for over 15 years serving as attending physician, ED-Trauma liaison, and ED-Ultrasound liaison. I also serve as medical director for ED/Transport Services/Teddy Bear Transport. I am a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and The University of Texas at Austin. I completed my residency and fellowship training at Children's Medical Center at Dallas/UT Southwestern. I am passionate about injury prevention and started a firearm injury prevention program called Aim For Safety teaching parents and children about the risks of having an unsecured firearm in the home. I am so active in pre-hospital EMS care and protocols.
