Dr. VanVliet completed her residency training in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt prior to moving to Texas. She joined the Cook Children's Hospitalist Group in 2015. Her passions include evidence based medicine and medical education. Over the last 2 years, she has helped to create evidence based treatment guidelines for bronchiolitis and piloted a successful follow up clinic for bronchiolitis patients aimed at increasing quality care and decreasing readmissions. She has implemented a program that provides free nasal aspirators to all patients presenting to the medical center with bronchiolitis, a program well received by both parents and staff.
