Bio
I have been a RN at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for 38 yrs with the last 15 yrs in the Urgent Care- my background is PICU for 14 yrs, ED for 2yrs and some floor and clinic work so I have seen the pediatric patient from every area ( moonlighted as a home care nurse at the start of my career) I am CPEN certified and a RNIII which is the highest level on our clinical ladder and have been an RNIII for over 30 yrs. While working as a GI Nurse I spoke at the National Conference for GI nurses on Pediatric constipation. I have spent many years on councils, precepting, planning education conferences and practice change issues. I have been a member of SPUC from the 1st year it started and taught the splinting/c-collar class at the 1st SPUC conference in Cincinnati (of course Peg Orcutt was one of my doctors) and I am so glad that Pediatric Urgent Care nurses will have a voice in our unique practice of medicine .
