Bio
Dr. Carter was born and raised from Houston, TX. She earned her medical degree in allopathic medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her internship and residency in general psychiatry at the University of Louisville and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Northwestern University at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Dr. Carter currently serves full time as the attending psychiatrist on the inpatient psychiatric unit and as the Medical Director of Inpatient and Consultation Services at Cook Children's. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and traveling .
