Bio

Jennifer Setlik, MD, has been a member of the pediatric emergency medicine team at Nemours Children’s Hospital since 2014. Among her many institutional leadership roles, she is the director of the hospital’s sedation service and director of safety and quality for the Division of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Setlik also serves as assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Prior to Nemours, she provided care in multiple settings at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital including the ED, transport team and foster care clinic. She also served as an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Setlik earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biochemistry and biophysics at Yale University. She earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, completed a residency in pediatrics in the Washington University School of Medicine program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and received specialty training in pediatric emergency medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is active in the advancement of medical education techniques and serves as the chair of the quality subcommittee for the Society for Pediatric Sedation. Dr. Setlik is certified in pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
