The 2018 Fall SPUC Conference in Orlando in October will open with a presentation by the American Board of Pediatrics Vice President for Maintenance of Certification and Quality. Dr. Virginia Moyer. Dr. Moyer is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and served her residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, before earning a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas. At ABP, she oversees continued development and implementation of the Maintenance of Certification program. She was chosen one of Time Magazine’s “People Who Mattered” in 2011 for her leadership of the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force. She’s the author of more than eighty scientific articles and is editor of “Evidence-Based Pediatrics and Child Health.” She’s the former Chief of Academic General Pediatrics and a former Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.
