Bio
Dr. Le Pichon completed an MD, PhD at Baylor College of Medicine. His PhD is in neuroscience. He then completed his residency at Texas Children’s Hospital. He is boarded in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology and in Epilepsy. Dr. Le Pichon is the program director for the Child Neurology Residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He is also the director of neuroscience research for the hospital. His clinical practice focusses mostly on neurogenomics and neuroimmunology. Dr. Le Pichon’s research interests focus on hyperbilirubinemia and kernicterus spectrum disorders. He has a strong interest in global medicine and has developed research collaborations with hospitals in Nigeria and Mexico. Dr. Le Pichon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as the chair of the subcommittee on education for the AAP Section on Neurology.
